Martial left disappointment and regret at MU
Anthony Martial has found a new destination that gives him more promise in his career. The shining dream of the French striker is no longer at Old Trafford.
When AS Monaco prepared to sell Martial at the end of the 2015 summer transfer window, the Ligue 1 club believed that the then 19-year-old talent could reach world class. In the contract between Monaco and Manchester United, there is a clause that the English club must pay up to £ 6 million if Martial is on the list of candidates for the Ballon d'Or.
"Red Devils" also have to pay another £ 6 million if the striker born in 1995 wins the Ballon d'Or. Monaco can also receive another £ 6 million if Martial helps MU win the Champions League.
More than 6 years have passed since Monaco sold Martial to England, Man United did not have to pay any money in the terms of the Ballon d'Or of the French striker. All that the striker born in 1995 can do is only potential.

Last 10 minutes in MU shirt?
British and Spanish media revealed that the "Red Devils" failed to insert a clause forcing Sevilla to buy Martial outright. The Andalusian team only has to pay the salary Martial is receiving at MU.
Sevilla need more strikers to race to win La Liga this season. However, the Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium team considers spending large amounts of money to buy Martial outright bringing many risks. Meanwhile, the "Red Devils" want to sell off the goalscorer born in 1995. That's the reason the negotiations between the two clubs many times fell into stalemate.
Last week, the French striker caused chaos within the team when coach Ralf Rangnick accused Martial of refusing to play. Martial and his agent also publicly wanted to leave Old Trafford from the beginning of the January transfer window.
With what happened in the past time, Martial is unlikely to continue playing for MU in the near future. The pass for Edinson Cavani to stretch for Marcus Rashford to score in injury time last weekend (against West Ham), is likely to be the last mark Martial left in the "Red Devils" shirt.
Until the match against West Ham, Martial had not played a minute under Mr. Rangnick. He became redundant in the play of the German strategist. The fact that the 63-year-old coach launched Martial on the field just before Sevilla completed the loan contract of this player was considered a surprise by many.
However, if one looks at MU's match against West Ham, it is understandable that coach Rangnick uses Martial. The Man United captain threw all the attacking players he had on the pitch in search of a home win.
10 minutes Martial was on the field, the French striker still showed his qualities worth watching. He handled the ball delicately, creating many sharp attacking situations.
The situation of dropping the ball for Cavani to ice down proves the ability of the former AS Monaco striker. Coach Rangnick said that Martial played an important role in MU's goal against West Ham.
"He is a top striker in the Premier League," the German coach said after the game. "However, MU currently has other options on the attack."
Mr. Rangnick's statement partly reflects Martial's problem. The striker born in 1995 has qualities, but has never made himself the main striker of Man United.
Martial played in a flurry of 6 seasons at Old Trafford. Former Manchester United managers such as Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho or Ole Gunnar Solskjaer all highly appreciated Martial, but they could not help this player reach his heights.
Coach Mourinho even criticized the spirit and attitude of the French striker. "Special person" implies that Martial has potential, but will not develop as expected without changing his attitude in training and competition. So far, coach Mourinho seems to be right.
